The GPS network is a set of 24 satellites. They use triangulation to determine thei position with an accurancy of -/+ 5 meters.

• The satellites are on a circular orbit with a revolution period of 12 hours.

• The location of the satellite are known and ground controllers checks them every days.

• Gps receivers use datas collected directly from the satellites to determine by their own an exact position. For this they use triangulation
